I've recently tried getting an inverter issue answered by Xantrex online support and have had minimal luck. I get a case # and an automated reply that states a response is coming shortly. My first request was on June 24th and my most recent one was on July 4th. I'm getting the feeling I'm not going to get one by now. It's a simple question of just how to properly ground an inverter that is outside a vehicle. The manual only states how to ground to the chassis. This new inverter is to replace a cheaper one and I don't want to fry this one, if that is indeed what I did. It's an Xpower inverter 1000 that is to be powered from a small 210ah bank. I have held off swapping inverters until I got a response from Xantrex but that isn't likely to happen. Any Ideas?

i'd be a bit cautious on my answering that one as you intend this to your electrical system i'll bet. unless somebody is directly familiar with the unit and its grounding as you intend for it to be, then you could try asking solar guppy at his site. http://www.solar-guppy.com/forum/index.php?sid=2130fbb0680a69e322e4ad67c960cfb1
